Upcoming Talks

 3/26/2015 Ichiro Matsumara (Emory University) 11am, MoSE3201A

Ichiro’s research objective is to understand the adaptive evolution of protein structure and function.  He recapitulates the evolutionary process in the laboratory, and identifies the correlations between specific changes in tertiary structure and improvements in fitness. These experiments often yield proteins with enhanced industrial or pharmaceutical utility

Ichiro will be talking about “Evolutionary Theory as an Instruction Manual for Synthetic Biology.”
